LEAF Building Group provides the highest level of professional service to its clients and has in place an internal Business Management System (BMS); an integrated system outlining how we manage our processes and activities in order to effectively satisfy our clients’ QUALITY, SAFETY and ENVIRONMENTAL needs while complying with relevant legislation. Our management structure and IT infrastructure allows us to operate seamlessly servicing both our local and regional client base. In September 2015, LEAF achieved Full certification to ISO 9001:2008 (Quality Management), AS 14001:2004 (Environmental Management) and AS/NZS 4801:2001 (Safety Management).

SAFETY MANAGEMENT

Our Workplace Health and Safety System is an integral component of our Business Management System.

LEAF prioritises safety on site at all times and adheres to Workplace Health and safety legislation, regulations, codes and other applicable industry standards.

Key elements in the process include the establishment of a project-specific safety management plan, site inductions for all project personnel and risk analysis of all activities prior to commencement on site. Once on site, each project team is responsible for ensuring all work and practices are performed in accordance with the project safety plan and safe work method statements.

  • Weekly and monthly WHS auditing
  • Site inductions and questionnaires

In addition to improving implementation at the project level, the WHS Management System is continually monitored and amended, with details communicated to all project personnel.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT

The Quality Control process ensures a satisfactory end result.

The Quality Control process involves evaluating our activities and services to ensure a satisfactory end result while the Quality Assurance aspect is designed to ensure processes are sufficient to meet objectives. Our quality assurance system ensures our products and services are manufactured, created, produced and implemented in the correct way. From an operational perspective, we engage subcontractors with proven skills and experience in high quality workmanship and trade delivery. We apply systems of quality control to check individual operations as they are performed, and systems of quality assurance in auditing works carried out and materials supplied by subcontractors and suppliers.

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT

Commercially viable green initiatives and experienced delivery of environmentally responsible construction techniques.

LEAF Building Group offers construction expertise in commercially viable green initiatives and is experienced in the delivery of environmentally responsible outcomes from corporate fit outs to large scale construction projects. Our ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System certification requires us to monitor and manage the impact that our construction activities have on the environment.

We collaborate with client and consultant teams to integrate sustainable solutions without compromising budgetary constraints. By controlling risks and carrying out improvements, not only are we protecting the environment but we are also ensuring our awareness of relevant legislative requirements minimising the potential for any non-compliance.

Increasing awareness of environmental impacts and sustainable development means progressively more stringent legislation, and the development of economic policies and related measures that foster environmental protection. LEAF recognises the need for continual examination, evaluation and improvement and is especially committed to supporting environmental protection.
